Nebraska Notch Maple - Print
This is a limited edition print of an original acrylic painting. Printed with archival quality inks and paper.
The beaver meadow along Nebraska Notch trail in Underhill is one of my favorite places. On the way back down from Taylor Lodge we often circumnavigate the up-down section of the Long Trail to skirt along the edge of the meadow. In recent years the meadow has been dry and in the fall the sedges are a whispery soft expanse of openness in the hollow. At the head of the meadow the trail winds around some large boulders studded with mature sugar maples where a small stream enters the expanse. One maple stands out so prominently it demands your attention. I think about how these trees along the trail must bear witness to so much coming and going, be it human or otherwise.
Choose 8 X 10 ($25) or 11 X 14 ($40) size.
Ships in a sturdy envelope. If you are local to Vermont you may also opt for “pickup” upon checkout at the Emile Gruppe Gallery in Jericho, VT.
