Entrenchment
12 X 16 original acrylic on canvas
This original painting is part of my "river processes" series that draws on my background as a professional fluvial geomorphologist and river ecologist. It is based on the fluvial geomorphic concept of “entrenchment“, or the degree to which a river is confined by its valley; rivers are dynamic systems that move around in their valleys over time, leaving behind clues of their historic paths.
Ships unframed in a generously padded box. If you are local to Vermont you may also opt for “pickup” upon checkout at the Emile Gruppe Gallery in Jericho, VT.
